Our Team
Over two decades of structured training, teamwork, and competitive excellence in honor of Dr. Freddie H. Fu.
Our History
The Freddie Fu Cycling Team was founded in 1998 by Dr. Freddie H. Fu, a world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Fu combined his passion for cycling with his deeply held belief in the power of structured training, teamwork, and mentorship to create something that would endure far beyond any single season.
What began as a small group of dedicated cyclists in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has grown into one of the region's most respected competitive teams. Registered with USA Cycling and members of both the Allegheny Cycling Association (ACA) and the Pennsylvania Cycling Association (PCA), our riders have accumulated over 300 podium finishes across road, criterium, and time trial disciplines—a testament to the foundation Dr. Fu laid from day one.
Though Dr. Fu passed away in 2021, his legacy lives on in every training ride, every race, and every new rider who joins the team. We carry his name with pride and his philosophy with purpose.
